We know from the
Creative Frontiers School website that Robert Adams claims that:
We recently celebrated our 27th birthday at the Citrus Heights Campus, and our 34th anniversary concerning our unwavering commitment to education. Creative Frontiers School originated in 1975 on a 1/4 acre lot licensed for 44 students!
We also can see that according to his Faculty page, Robert Adams claims:
Mr. Bob is the founder of Creative Frontiers School and has been the principal since the school’s opening. He was born and raised in Southern California. The first campus originally opened in November, 1975 which means he just celebrated his 35th year anniversary. Prior to that, he had owned 3 swim schools, where children ages 6 months to 12 years were taught swimming while he completed his undergraduate work. He started teaching P.E. to middle school children in 1968 at a private school in Belmont, CA when he was still a high school senior! So, for those counting, that’s 43 years ago! Bob was the second oldest in a family of 8 children & believes he discovered teaching was a way of life (and survival) in a big family! Bob and his wife of 35 years, Sandy, have 3 daughters: [name] (34), [name] (29), and [name] (27) that all graduated from Creative Frontiers but also went on to complete their Bachelor’s as well. He currently has eight grandchildren: [name] (9), [name] (8), [name] (5), [name] (3), [name] (1), [name] (1), [name] (7 mos.) and [name] (7 months). Before starting Creative Frontiers, Mr. Bob earned two Bachelors’ in Child Development and Child Psychology, and then he completed his Masters in School Administration and started his Doctorate in Education, but never found the time to finish! Besides administrating, he has taught swimming, kindergarten, and first grade. He has done a lot of volunteer work throughout his 35 years for children and education throughout various agencies such as the Sacramento Children’s Commission, Placer County Children’s Council, California Textbook Review Commission, Folsom School District’s W.A.S.C. Accreditation parent chairperson, as well as serving on many other educational and children’s rights committees at the local, county and state level.
So we know that Mr. Adams graduated from California State Northridge in 1975 with the 2 BA degrees. We also know that he DID NOT complete his Masters in School Administration, but that is not the most concerning issue to me right now. So if he finished his degree in 1975, he then opened a school that same year? His daughter was born the next year? But somehow he owned 3 swim schools in the process? Something doesn't quite add up here. How many college students do you know who can own 3 swim schools while working on 2 degrees then open a preschool the same year you graduate? I'm not saying it is impossible, but improbable. In addition, he claims to be born and raised in Southern California, but taught PE at a middle school in Belmont while he was in high school? For those not familiar with California geography, Belmont is in the San Francisco Bay area, typically referred to as Northern or Central California. What kind of school hires on a high school student as a Physical Education instructor?
Further investigation, and a very helpful email brought this to my attention:

This is from the
California Secretary of State website. This information states that a school in Southern California, called Creative Frontiers was started in 1974 and was suspended. Suspended, as defined on their website means;
"The business entity's powers, rights and privileges were suspended or forfeited in California 1) by the Franchise Tax Board for failure to file a return and/or failure to pay taxes, penalties, or interest; and/or 2) by the Secretary of State for failure to file the required Statement of Information and, if applicable, the required Statement by Common Interest Development Association." So is the the original CFS? Maybe....I'm not sure. If you look up the address listed for the school, you are taken to the
Discovery School, which is currently operating at the same location. From their "about us page we learn:
When Discovery School first opened its doors almost thirty-five years ago, no one could have imagined that it would grow to be a premier force in the field of early childhood education. Established by a group of five physicians, Creative Frontiers, as it was then known, was founded on the principles of fortifying children with love, education and creativity. After a few years, the name was changed and then, in 1999, current owners, [name] and [name] purchased Discovery school.
So wait, 5 physicians? This can't be the same school, right? Well here is where it gets odd. It seems several physicians DID own a school at that location, only it's name was slightly different. Again from the California Secretary of State website:
| Entity Name: | FRONTIER DISCOVERY, INC. |

| Agent City, State, Zip: | SOUTH PASADENA CA 91030 |
So, a hybrid name, at the same location. Interesting. Does it mean something? Maybe. Does it mean nothing? Again, maybe. But it is certainly odd.
If we go back to the above information about Creative Frontiers School from the website, it states that CFS has been at it's current location for 27 years, which would make the date that campus opened approximately 1984. On the list that pops up when you search "Creative Frontiers" you find Creative Frontiers at it's current campus in Citrus Heights. You will note it says "Dissolved", however, there is another listing with the year 2000 that is current. I'm assuming this may have happened when Mr. Adams filed for bankruptcy.

So again, what does it mean? In short answer, I don't know. If the Creative Frontiers listed with the California Secretary of State is *the* Creative Frontiers, then where was Robert Adams between 1978 and 1984? Why does the Discovery School claim it was founded by 5 doctors, not Robert Adams? How does a 24 year old young man fresh out of school own 3 swim schools and open up a preschool without actually having credentials? Interestingly enough, according to several tips we have received, he somehow found time to squeeze in a brief career as a mortician as well.
Is it something? Is it nothing? I will let you decide.
