Saying it Without Proof, Doesn't Make it True

It is interesting that the blogger, Christian Peet, believes that the closure of the Creative Frontiers School rested solely on the word of one former employee, I.M..

As we have shown before, the closure of the preschool portion of Creative Frontiers was in part closed due to the allegations of I.M. but not entirely.  I.M. didn't cause the building code violations, she didn't revoke the business license for CFS and she isn't part of the charges against Robert Adams.  Why?  We don't know that, only the District Attorney's office would have that information.  Those charges may or may not be added later.

The elementary portion of CFS was closed due to the numerous code violations.  Nothing I.M. said had anything to do with that portion of the school.  Peet states,
Another problem -and the enduring problem-is that authorities refused, then, as they refuse now, to admit anything so terrible as having made a mistake in being led astray by Mertens.
What exactly is there to admit?  There are 6 victims, 2 employees (1 former, 1 current at the time of closure) that have said something nefarious happened.  He is right in that I.M. is not part of the current charges, however, that doesn't mean that the authorities were led astray, or that they authorities made any mistake.  It also doesn't mean her allegations were necessarily false either.  We have talked about the way the closure was handled previously. Perhaps it could have been handled differently, however, simply removing Robert Adams as the principal would not have cleared the building violations dating back 2 years, that would not have removed the denial of a license approval - in short, solely removing Robert Adams would not have made Creative Frontiers School safe for the children attending.

I think the question is not "When will the authorities admit they made a mistake?" but "When will the Adams family own up to their failure to file permits and keep the school up to code?"  Not once have they answered this very pertinent question.

  1. Great post. There is no reason to believe that the authorities made any mistakes, but PROOF that Robert Adams did.

Why aren't supporters questioning this? I don't get it. Why isn't it a big deal to them that this man was taking their money and seemingly putting NONE of it back into the school or their children?

I bet that pretty house in Folsom didn't have parts of the building ready to collapse, damaged subfloors, dangerous electrical wiring, or trees growing into the building causing structural damage.

  2. What gets me is the fawning over Peet's "investigative journalism". What exactly has he investigated? Nothing. He has regurgitated the exact same story every media station has told except he adds "false" in front of the word "allegations" and then wa-la, in the eyes of the supporters he is getting the real story out there. Sorry folks, Peet's work is exactly the OPPOSITE of unbiased journalism. He's decided the accusations are false, and therefore presents that as the truth. He hasn't interviewed people. He hasn't spoken to the DA or detectives. Everything he writes is pure speculative fiction and 100% biased. Biased in Mr. Adams favor, but presented with WAY more of a bias than anything presented on this blog OR by the media.

We do attempt to be very unbiased in terms of Mr. Adams' guilt or innocence. While we will not keep public documents from being seen, it does not mean that we are biased towards Robert Adams - unfortunately that is hard for some to believe.

  4. I guess I'm really confused. I am the parent of a former student and I thought that Christian was a family friend and had done alot of investigation into this case. He has a whole bunch of blog posts about it on his webpage. I thought he was a good friend of Mr. Bob's and his brother Dan. This isn't true? Why is it so hard to figure out the real truth? I looked for him in court last Friday but I don't think he was there.

  5. Before July of this year, Christian Peet had no knowledge or affiliation with the Adams family.

He wasn't there because he lives in Vermont. I encourage you to read the other cases of actual convicted pedophiles that are, according to him, "wrongly accused". Then go google them and read the many news reports on the same convicted pedophiles. If indeed Mr. Adams is not guilty, this isn't someone I would want supporting my family member.

  6. Wait a minute. If Christian isn't a friend of the Adams family how does he know whats going on? He acts as if he knows all the details and there are alot of other Creative Frontiers parents who think he writes truthful stuff. They all *LIKE* his posts. Why would he get involved with Mr. Bob if he doesn't really know him and know what really happened? I am trying really hard to wait for the court to clear Mr. Bob from all these alegations but the people who run the Facebook page aren't answering our questions. I took the day off to go to court but do the family know how hard that is for us who work for a living. There's alot of us who want to believe this is all a bad nightmare but the documents you have posted and the weird stuff that Christian posts is making it hard to know what to think. Thank you for posting things for us to think about. I'm starting to get really worried about where this whole thing is going.

  7. Dear 'parent',

Your guess is as good as mine. This has been one of my questions from the very beginning. How they can take the time to "like" and comment on all of his posts and rants, but can't find the time to answer simple questions about Mr. Adams' health, or to thank people like you who took the day off to go to court.

    Good luck.

  8. I say this was all due respect:

On both the SacBee posts and here it has been said MULTIPLE times that C.P. is not the hero some of the supporters think he is.

Just look at what he does for a living, he advocates for CONVICTED (not accused--convicted!!) pedophiles; makes money off of people that send in donations to "help" the "wrongfully" convicted. (By the way, I see nowhere in his writings that he has ever actually done anything but write/blog, so where does that moeny go, exactly??)

He has NO personal interest in this case, he saw it on the news and jumped in to get material for his own personal gain. I am amazed that many of the supporters are JUST NOW figuring out he has no personal ties to this case.

Mr. Bob's guilt or innocence aside--C.P. is not your friend.

    Signed,
