Yes, Another Continuance

Yes folks, you heard correctly, Robert Adams has appeared in court once again, not entered a plea, and asked for a continuance.  This time because his attorney hasn't had a chance to review the evidence completely. This time, the judge specified that there will be no more continuances allowed.  While some supporters seem to think this means the District Attorney has no evidence, there is no indication of this.

As I have said many times in the past, these hearings that we keep continuing are only for a Settlement Conference.  The attorneys are encouraged to sit down and work out a plea deal.  If Mr. Adams and his attorney wanted to force the hand of the District Attorney and have this over and done with, he could enter a plea and invoke his right to a speedy trial.  The delays are all his folks.  Yes, he is following the advice of his attorney.  And I am sure she is trying her best to keep Mr. Adams out of jail, since that is her job.  But, if they really thought that the DA had as little evidence as Mr. Adams' daughter implies to all supporters, why would it make logical sense to delay this out?

The new court date is May 23rd.  The judge specified there would be NO MORE continuances allowed so the Settlement conference will happen.  This means that if they reach a deal, Mr. Adams will plea in accordance with that deal.  If the DA decides to drop the charges, then there will be no further action.  If a deal is not reached, the matter then goes forward with a pre-trial unless it is waived.  If that happens, the matter is set straight to trial.

In other news, the property the school was once located on has been foreclosed by the bank.

Sorry folks that the updates have been few and far between but life gets busy sometimes.

I for one, will be looking forward to some sort of forward movement in this case on the 23rd of May.  Hopefully we might get some answers and perhaps we will finally know how Mr. Adams plans to plea.  He's had nearly 8 months to contemplate it.

  1. Yeah... like it was any kind of suprise to us. I guess what we have learned so far is..... nothing! Robert Adams still doesn't know if he is innocent or not.. or just won't admit anything they have on him. I wonder what his next performance will consist of? The "sea of red" and orchestrated "walk to the courtroom" is wearing mighty thin...

  2. According to their most recent solicitation to get supporters...they claim the next court date will only last 5 minutes. But if the judge said no more continuances, and this is a "Settlement Conference" where the attorneys are expected to make a good faith effort to come up with a plea deal, then how is this supposed to only last 5 minutes? If this doesn't happen then it moves to trial. Instead of playing the victim, you are right, he could have entered a plea of not guilty long ago and forced the DA to make a timely case. How blind do you have to be to be falling for this "we don't have the discovery BS"? 4 months ago she had the discovery but didn't have time to review it. This is a delay tactic, but not by the prosecution like the Adams family and supporters want you to think. Honestly, if he was not guilty, why hasn't he said so and why would he be dragging his feet? Make them prove their case and if the have nothing...then the charges are dropped. Simple. Instead we are getting a bunch of games that only makes him look guilty in my opinion. I wonder how all of these people who supported him are going to feel when he accepts a plea deal and pleads guilty to some of the charges?

  3. It seems like no one has commenting on Mr. Bob's situation in quite a while.. I wonder why. Is it because of time?, lack of the media attention? I for one am very interested, and check here regularly. I can't wait to see the outcome of this now forgotten criminal trial. I thank you doubting cfs. I will still be checking here as often as I can. I hope that not everyone will forget what this man is accused of doing. We, as parents, as a society need to find the truth.

  4. I haven't forgotten, and I check here frequently as well. I saw that he finally entered a "Not Guilty" plea today--took him long enough! Hopefully, now the truth will come out.
